Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers through public information points and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide straightforward information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—supporting both community well-being and European civic values.”
